Sian Ruffell from Essex recorded her pet Chihuahua-cross Hugo on Monday evening and claimed she could even hear the dog saying: ‘Mine, f*** off!’

This is the hilarious moment a dog screams when his owner tries to stop him from licking her plate of food.

The 4-year-old dog frantically licks Sian’s finished plate from dinner in the amusing video.

Lightly puts her foot in the way to stop Hugo from licking the plate and tells him: ‘Hugey! Get off!’

But the dog responds by growling and then appears to shout ‘Mine!’ – in a similar style to Gollum from Lord of the Rings.

Hugo gently nibbles Sian’s trainer to make her getaway, and then the tiny dog snarls at her.

Despite the video, Sian says that the rescue dog Hugo is a Chipin (a cross between a Chihuahua and a Miniature Pinscher). It is highly affectionate most of the time.

She said: ‘Hugo is a rescue dog from Basildon Dog Trust Centre. Because he’s a rescue, we don’t know his exact birthday or much about his past. But we believed that his previous owner was abusive.

‘Hugo is half-chihuahua, and the breed is known to have a temper on them.

‘So the reaction wasn’t so much of a shock as he does get protective over food. And his mood swings began at around 9 pm, which was when I filmed the video.

‘Hugo does have a caring softer side, though. He loves cuddles and attention. He has such a funny personality, and we love them for that.

‘Believe it or not, Hugo is 100 percent better trained. And more friendly now than when we first got him home as a rescue dog!’
