Hundreds of millions of people are spending their days at home now due to the coronavirus.

Some are allowed out to get essential stuff like groceries or medicine.

However, for those who have Covid-19 symptoms or have come into contact with someone who has, they have to stay at home with no reprieve from the outside world.

But a man in Mexico has devised an ingenious way of getting what he wants without having to leave the house.

Antonio Munoz was hankering for some Cheetos on the third day of his quarantine.

Instead of calling up the store to see if they would graciously deliver a bag of crisps, he enlisted the help of his trusty pet dog.

The chihuahua had a note attached to its back which read: “Hello Mr. Shopkeeper. Please sell my dog some Cheetos, the orange kind, not the red ones, they’re too hot. She has $20 attached to her collar.

“WARNING: She will bite if not treated right. Your front neighbour.”

For those who own a dog or have at least seen a pooch at a dog show, this situation could have gone really bad.

The chihuahua could have pranced down the street and anyone could have nicked the money and sent the dog on its way or worse.

But in unbelievable scenes, Antonio captured the moment his pet dog came back from the local store with a goddamn packet of orange Cheetos in its tiny mouth.

Whether this dog has travelled to the store with Mr Munoz before or it’s just hyper intelligent and aware of its surroundings, it isn’t clear. But what is clear is that this dog is a legend, saviour and deserves to be cherished during this dark time.

Mexico has recorded 387 cases of coronavirus, but has moved to shut down large gatherings of people.

Deputy Health Minister Hugo Lopez-Gatell said: “We have decided to temporarily suspend events with 100 people or more. All gatherings – public, private, governmental, social – must be avoided throughout the month.”

According to the Associated Press, gyms, bars, theatres, movie houses, zoos, and sports stadiums were ordered close last week in Mexico City.

Other gatherings of 50 or more people in the city have also been banned to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
