Most of us are on lockdown thanks to the coronavirus pandemic sweeping the globe. As a result, going out for anything that is not deemed essential is not an option. And one man, Antonio Muñoz from Mexico, came up with a brilliant way of getting his snack on without needing to leave the house to go to his local market.
When Muñoz craved Cheetos while in self-isolation, he didn’t feel like breaking the social distancing code, but at the same time, he wanted Cheetos. So, what was his genius idea? He sent his Chihuahua instead. Muñoz decided to get a little help from his pet, Chokes, in getting his Cheetos. Muñoz ended up strapping some money and a note to Chokis’s collar, then sending the little pup on her way to the store across the street.
The note that he attached read, “Hello, Mr. Shopkeeper. Please sell my dog some Cheetos, the orange kind, not the red ones, they’re too hot. She has $20 attached to her collar. WARNING: She will bite if not treated right. Your front neighbor.”
Incredibly, Chokes completed her task without a hitch. Muñoz was quite proud of the little dog, so he shared some pictures on his Facebook, along with the message, “Day three of quarantine. I wanted my Cheetos.”
Since posting, Chokes has become a full-time snack-getter for him, as she has since completed two other successful snack runs for Muñoz. Little Cookies is earning her keep for sure.
We all need a snacking dog in this pandemic!
