According to the American Veterinary Medical Association, 85 percent of dog owners consider their furry friend to be family. Still, few would trust their canine companion enough to collect a parcel.
Reddit user mayorofutopia’s brother-in-law received a notification from Amazon saying their parcels had been “delivered to a family member directly” the family member being their Dog, Brent.
Since being shared to the r/funny subreddit on Wednesday, the post has received more than 121,000 upvotes and 1,000 comments from users who couldn’t get enough of the parcel-accepting pup.
Sinthe741 said: “He looks very responsible,” while DarkAizawa commented: “I hope you tipped him…In pets.”

A 2021 study found that Border Collies are among the more intelligent dog breeds. Over three months, researchers at Eötvös Loránd University in Hungary used various training methods to teach dog breeds the names of their toys. Out of all the canines involved, the Border Collies came out on top, with one collie learning the words of 37 different toys.
Despite their intelligence, users wondered how the driver got the Dog to sign for the delivery.
Ironboy32 suggested: “Pawprint.”
Robber_Tell proposed: “Boop here, and here, thank you.”
Miloto79 joked: “Yes, this is Dog. Yes, I can sign.”
In the comments, mayorofutopia shared some more details about Brent. At least eight years old, he was rescued from a shelter by the Redditor’s brother-in-law and is a “good (chunky) boy.”
They said: “This choker can’t even take down a toy squirrel, much less a person. He is so friendly he might just let a robber in and show him where all the valuables are.
“[The photograph] humored not only me but also my entire family. It honestly made my entire week.”
