Stacey Solomon has shared a heartfelt tribute to her beloved dog Theo, who she revealed passed away over the Christmas holidays.

The TV personality, 32, took to Instagram to announce that the Pomeranian-Chihuahua-mix had died in her arms at Pickle Cottage on Monday evening after '11 wonderful years'.

She shared an array of heartwarming pictures of herself and her children - Leighton, nine, Zachary, 13, Rex, two, and Rose - with the puppy.

Some photographs showed Theo cuddling up on the couch with Stacey and her children, while others showed the playful dog posing under the Christmas tree and sitting in the garden.

Alongside the pictures, she penned: 'Sweet Dreams Theo. The best friend we could have ever wished for. Our hearts are broken, and we had to say goodnight to Theo yesterday at home in our arms.

'11 wonderful years. We were so lucky to love you, Fifi, and we will never stop. My lap has never felt so empty. I miss you so much already—my little girl.

'But oh my goodness, the memories and the love you brought into our lives. Thank you for everything, Theo.

Their devastating loss comes after Stacey and her fiancé Joe discussed adjusting to raising a baby girl in their first interview since Rose was born in October.

The X Factor star, 32, and her soap actor beau, 39, appeared on Loose Women's Christmas special via video link with their newborn daughter from their home, Pickle Cottage.

Judi Love asked if baby Rose was sleeping at night, to which Stacey responded: 'I've put a hell of a lot of make-up on for this interview, and you can't even see it. It sinks into my skin now.

'She sleeps like a newborn - they're up all night, aren't they? But she is good, and she's content, which is nice.

Stacey also shared a slideshow of photos and videos on her Instagram stories and said she is grateful for her family's 'beautiful memories' with Theo.

'She's amazing, and she's adorable. I can't stop staring at her. Even when she does sleep, I don't get any sleep because I'm just staring at her.'

On how their two-year-old son Rex has taken to Rose, Joe gushed: 'He adores her, he's obsessed if anything we're trying to keep him away from her. No, he's been brilliant. He's been good with her. '

Stacey added: 'He's perfect, but sometimes, she's not my baby. She's Rex's baby, and I have to follow him around, hoping he won't drop her on the floor.'

Coleen Nolan asked Joe if it's different being a dad to a girl instead of a boy, and he admitted: 'Yeah, it is.

'Because I'm quite boisterous, and I know the boys are pretty robust - I can chuck them about a little bit and wrestle them, significantly when I'm changing the nappy.

'I know the boy's limitations because I've got one myself, but with baby Rose, it's different. I've got to be a lot more gentle and delicate.'

Contrastingly, Stacey - who also has sons Leighton, nine, and Zachary, 13, from a previous relationship - sometimes forgets Rose is a girl, explaining: 'Because I've got so many boys, I'm just like, 'Pass him over,' 'Give me him' and then I'm like, 'Oh no, her!'

Judi noted how much Rose looks like their two-year-old son Rex and Stacey admitted: 'Oh my gosh, everyone says that. Sometimes I look down and can't believe it's not Rex.'
