According to Miami News, 29 Chihuahuas will be up for adoption at Miami-Dade Animal Services. The rescue happened this weekend after they took them in from a South Florida caregiver.
The officials said the caregiver had gotten overwhelmed while trying to find homes for the rescued dogs. Of course, 29 Chihuahuas is certainly a lot, even for a dog lover. They added they found the pups in good condition with no evidence of animal neglect or cruelty. That’s a relief, considering all the cases we hear about owners doing god-awful things to the pups they can’t take care of.
No citations were given to the person who originally took the dogs in. It’s hard to imagine that anyone with this rep would come clean. Nevertheless, the officials said all of the dogs were examined. From the examinations, they saw that the pups have either been spayed or neutered. So, that’s some good news for the next rescuers who will come along.
