2020, like for many, was a daunting year for Jessica Younger. Having relocated from her hometown in New Hampshire to sun-kissed Southern California, the unexpected disruption had her feeling adrift and out of sorts, away from her normal rhythm of life. But then she decided to foster Batman – a delightful Chihuahua Pitbull mix.

Have you ever thought about what happens if you cross a Pit Bull with a Chihuahua? One might think it’s an unlikely duo, but indeed, this delightful mix has produced a medium-sized dog unlike any other.
This charming canine has inherited the defining characteristics of a Pit Bull, complemented beautifully by the distinct, bat-like ears of a Chihuahua. Just imagine a pup with a charming underbite, sporting large ears that are just too cute for words, that’s our lovely mix right there!
Jessica found Batman via Ozzie and Friends Rescue, and it wasn’t long before she felt an unshakeable bond, a connection that felt as if it were beyond chance or coincidence – a pairing truly shaped in heaven.

A Pup with a Heroic & Spirited Personality
Younger finds an incredible match in the lively, endearing canine that is filled with an innate craving for exploration and possesses an energetic personality. She appreciates this reviving shift from the slump she was experiencing as the pandemic led to a significant transformation of her social life, leaving her in solitude.
In the current times, they form an invincible pair, spending their days together, and collectively experiencing the thrill of exploring various LA locations while keeping Batman’s boisterous puppy energy in control.
According to Younger, every moment spent with Batman is filled with incomparable happiness. She believes that Batman’s unmistakable bat-like huge ears and underbite, which never fail to amuse her, contribute to these joyful moments.
Yet, above all, what makes Batman the ideal companion for her is the way he stays by her side, be it while she’s working remotely, or during their frequent trips exploring the mountains each week. The pair have already covered plenty of distances together, even celebrating the rescued pup’s birthday in complementary Batman and Robin attire!
Younger states that even though Batman isn’t particularly fond of swimming on their beach outings, he enjoys his time chasing the seagulls instead.
In the grand scheme of things, even though Batman is technically supposed to be the one rescued, Younger acknowledges the irrefutable fact that the charming, large-eared canine played his part in rescuing her too.
